KEY DATES FOR THE CONTEST
- When can we register our team?
- From August 12th to August 23rd.
- When will practice rounds take place?
- From August 19th to September 2nd.
- Can we register our team during the week of August 19th to 23rd even if practice rounds have already started?
- Yes. However, we recommend completing both practice rounds by September 2nd at the latest to get ready for the Grand Finale.
- When will the Grand Finale take place?
- On September 13th.
TEAM FORMATION
- Can I participate alone?
- No. To participate, you must make a team of 5 co-workers. One of the 5 members will be the captain.
- How many people should be on the team?
- 5 people.
- Can we team up with co-workers from different sites?
- Every member of your team should belong to the same site, as we’ll determine 1 winning team per location in the Grand Finale.
- Can we enroll/play with more than 1 team?
- No. To ensure a fair competition among all collaborators, you will only be allowed to enroll and play with 1 team.
- What if one team member cannot attend the Grand Finale in person?
- Before registering your team, make sure that all members can attend the Grand Finale if your team qualifies. Playing with fewer members could put you at a disadvantage compared to other teams. If, due to unavoidable circumstances, a member isn’t able to make it, please e-mail us at commssupplychain@cbrands.com. We recommend you to play the Grand Finale at least with three members.
- Is it mandatory to name a team captain? Why?
- Yes, because we will communicate important contest information through the captain, such as which teams will advance to the Grand Finale, the winners, etc.
- Can we choose more than one team captain?
- No. Each team can only choose one captain.
- What will the team captain’s role be?
- Captains will need to register the team and its members on 1000cbi.com. During registration, they will provide their contact information (name, personal or company e-mail, cell phone number, and employee ID).
- Later, captains will be responsible for logging into 1000cbi.com to ensure the team participates in the practice rounds and in the Grand Finale, using the e-mail and employee ID they used during registration.
- Captains should also stay attentive to any messages they might get about the contest, as we will contact them with key information that they must share with their team.
CONTEST DYNAMICS
- Where do we need to register our team?
- On the website 1000cbi.com.
- Where will we participate?
- Practice rounds will be held on the website 1000cbi.com. Teams that qualify for the Grand Finale will attend an in-person event held at their work location (Nava, Obregon, Mexico City, San Antonio, and Chicago, as applicable), where they will compete simultaneously with teams from other sites.
- How should we participate?
- From August 12th to 23rd, register your team and captain on 1000cbi.com.
- From August 19th to September 2nd, you can access 1000cbi.com to participate in the practice rounds. Team captains will need to have their e-mail and employee ID at hand (all information must match the data they provided during registration).
- Each team must participate in two practice rounds. In each round, they must answer 10 questions (in 5 minutes each), aiming to get the most correct answers in the shortest possible time.

- How will our participation be evaluated?
- All Chicago and San Antonio teams will advance to the Grand Finale. However, practice rounds will help them get prepared. In the Grand Finale, all teams must answer as many questions as possible correctly in the shortest possible time. Teams with the most correct answers in the least time will rank highest.
- How were the questions chosen, and how will it be determined if they are right or wrong?
- The Communications team (Supply Chain, Beer Division) prepared 200 questions for this contest.
- Some questions are knowledge-based and have only one correct answer.
- Other questions are opinion-based and should be answered with the most popular response. To determine the most popular response, the Communications team conducted surveys among a sample of employees.
- Will our participation affect our work or employment?
- Your participation in “1000 Heart-Born Brewers” will not have any impact or benefit on your employment. This is a recreational, educational, and team-building activity designed especially for you to celebrate International Beer Day.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
- Who can participate in “1000 Heart-Born Brewers”?
- All employees directly employed by Constellation Brands (Supply Chain, Beer Division) who wish to participate, including both administrative and operational staff, as well as unionized employees.
- Do we have to be direct employees of Constellation Brands to participate?
- Yes.
- Can someone who is not a direct employee of Constellation Brands participate, such as our contractors?
- No. This contest is only open to employees directly employed by Constellation Brands, including both administrative and operational staff, as well as unionized employees.
- Can we invite friends or family who are not direct employees of Constellation Brands to participate?
- No. This contest is only open to employees directly employed by Constellation Brands, including both administrative and operational staff, as well as unionized employees.
PRIZES
- What will we receive as a prize if we win?
- Each member of the winning teams in the Grand Finale will receive an Amazon gift card worth $200 USD. We will select one winning team per location (Nava, Obregon, Mexico City, Veracruz, San Antonio, Chicago), resulting in a total of 30 winning employees.
- Will we receive any prize just for participating?
- No. The Amazon gift cards worth $200 USD will only be awarded to the members of the teams that win the Grand Finale. We will select one winning team per location (Nava, Obregon, Mexico City, Veracruz, San Antonio, Chicago), resulting in a total of 30 winning employees.
- How will winners be determined?
- The 1000cbi.com participation site has a ranking algorithm that will determine the teams with the highest scores, based on the most correct answers in the shortest time.
- How many winners will there be?
- There will be one winning team of 5 people per location (Nava, Obregon, Mexico City, Veracruz, Chicago, San Antonio), resulting in a total of 30 winning employees.
- How will the winning team be notified about their victory?
- The captain of each team that qualifies for the Grand Finale will receive a notification via e-mail on September 3rd.
- The final winners from each location will be announced at the Grand Finale event.
